In a small bay at the foot of Hammershus castle ruins, you'll find a rock formation that resembles a group of animal heads. The camel heads are visible from the shore, while the lion heads are best seen from out on the water. Enjoy this amazing sight and use your imagination!
One of Bornholm’s most beautiful rock formations lies right at the foot of Bornholms Kunstmuseum (Bornholm Art Museum). The stunning cliffs and caves can be reached on foot down a set of steps, or in summer from the sea.
Sprækkedalen Randkløve Skår is one of Bornholm's hidden natural gems. The route there takes you through a stunning natural forest comprising a wide variety of trees, and in spring the forest bed is carpeted with beautiful anemones, creating a stunning display of colours.
Opalsøen is a disused granite quarry – the high cliffs surrounding the lake are impressive and are rich in flora and fauna. You can hike in the cliffs while enjoying the stunning views of Opalsøen and Hammershus. Either follow the path from Hammerhavnen (Hammer Harbour) or drive up to Hammerfyret by car and walk from there.
