 Travelling to Bornholm is quick and easy

There are several options if you want to sail to Bornholm: Take the ferry from Ystad to Rønne; the journey time is just 1 hour and 20 minutes – 3 hours in total if you drive from Copenhagen. You can also sail directly from Køge to Rønne, with a crossing of 5 hours and 30 minutes.

If you don’t want to bring your car to Bornholm, buses and trains depart from Copenhagen for Ystad and both stop right at the ferry terminal.

If you’re travelling from Germany, there is a direct ferry from Sassnitz/Rügen to Rønne on Bornholm that sails from March to December. The pleasant “Hammershus” car ferry sails from Wednesday to Monday all summer with several departures daily. The crossing takes just 3 hours and 20 minutes.

The people of Bornholm are hospitable and proud of their island, which they are very happy to showcase and share with the island’s guests.

There are no cars here and the island’s unique history as Denmark’s easternmost bastion makes it a unique place to visit.
