Route description

From Svaneke you cycle to the fishing village of Listed. Just west of the town you pass a collection of monoliths called “The Holy Woman and Her Children.” Legend has it that the holy woman turned her children into stone to prevent them from being killed. Cycle through Bølshavn and climb the infamous Ypnastedbakke before cycling on towards Randkløve Skår, a dramatic 50-metre-long and 3-metre-wide rift valley.

From here the tour goes inland to Østermarie. From Lyrsbyvej you can make a detour to Louisenlund, a mysterious and beautiful collection of 50 monoliths. Continue to Ibsker and ride down to the fishing village of Aarsdale with its smokehouse and lively harbor. From here, the tour returns along the coast to Svaneke.
