A very hilly route around Hasle. You start by riding through the Serpentine bends from Hasle harbour and up towards Rutsker. From there you head towards the coast along a beautiful country road along the water’s edge on Teglkåsvej.
Here you choose whether the access road should be via the hill from Helligpeder or the hill from Teglkås. I personally prefer to ride up from Teglkås to get a few extra nice km along the coast.
Back on the main road, you take a shorter stretch north before the trip goes up to Rutsker again and past Ruts Kirke. This time you choose a road downwards that meets the country road between Rønne and Hasle.
Here you drive towards Rønne for just 400 m before taking a left turn onto Simblegårdsvej, which you follow to Klemensker. Simblegårdsvej goes both up and down, but mostly up and has over 100 altitude meters. The road is often included in the licensed races arranged on the island.
From Klemensker the trip goes down through Nyker (say hello to the small round church here) and further down to Hasle Lystskov, and then it is back to Hasle via the cycle path in the forest.
The fishing town of Hasle is very much part of the experience of the original Bornholm. Here is a smokehouse, unique handicrafts and some of the island's greatest nature experiences. Read more here.
Experience the idyllic small fishing village of Helligpeder on the west coast of Bornholm. With its small houses, smokehouse chimneys and not least the picturesque old harbor hut from prehistoric times, the fishing village of Helligpeder has great cultural and historical value. Read more here.
Teglkås fishing village is a true cultural gem on Bornholm with its small harbor and a strip of small idyllic fishing houses and smokehouses squeezed between the narrow beach and the land behind, which rises steeply 80 meters above sea level. Read more here.
Bornholm's highest-situated church, built around 1200 in Romanesque style with a beautiful bell tower in the cemetery dike. Read more here.
Nyker Rundkirke is considered to be the smallest and youngest of Bornholm's four round churches. Nyker Rundkirke is also the church that bears the least traces of having been a defensive structure. Read more here.
