Hammershus is North Europe's largest medieval castle. The castle offers you a great view of the Baltic Sea and in clear weather all the way to the Swedish coast. You can also enjoy the view from the rooftop terrace of the new Hammershus visitor center.
On Bornholm you can visit four of the seven round churches in Denmark. Østerlars round church is the largest of them. The churches originated from the Middle Ages.

Rispebjerg - a large place, that looks more like a field than anything else, is one of Bornholms most interesting places. It has a history that dates back at least 5000 years, when the place was used for ritual offerings within a sun cult - and you will also find the last remainders of an old castle.
Bornholm is without a doubt the place in all of Denmark, where most rock carvings have been found in such a small area. A great place to see the carvings is Madsebakke at Allinge Stadium.
