You start the route surrounded by the many cafes, restaurants and shops of the cozy town of Svaneke. Via smaller roads you climb along half-timbered houses up to the beautiful Svaneke church.
From here it goes via small roads and gravel roads up towards the Paradisbakkerne. An ascent that in summer can be idyllic with fields in full bloom, while in the off-season it can be almost the opposite; windy and without shelter. Both parts have their charm, however, and no matter what you hit the shelter and tranquility of the forest.
In Paradisbakkerne you follow the official cycle path, and smaller gravel roads towards Almindingen. Here you make a big curve along small gravel roads, after which you turn the bike back towards Svaneke.
On the way back you drive past the path that leads to Rokkesten, if you want to park the bike and see it.
It goes back, and this time downwards, along gravel and small roads towards Svaneke with a wide view over the Baltic Sea.
Back in Svaneke you have plenty of opportunity to end the trip with an ice cream or some good food and drink. And maybe a trip to the sea.
The route can be combined with Almindingen Big Loop or Hagemyr and beyond, for a longer trip.
