From Copenhagen via Ystad in Sweden
If you want to travel in an easy and relaxed way to Bornholm, you could park the car and take a bus from Copenhagen. There are direct bus connections from Bernstorfssgade and Ingerslevsgade (opposite of DGI-byen) – all of them in a short distance to Copenhagen Central Train station. They have all in common that they cross the bridge over the Øresund and go to Ystad in Southern Sweden, from where the express ferry leaves to Bornholm.
The Bornholmerbus coach service (route 866) connects Copenhagen Central Station (leaving from Bernstorffsgade), with a stop at Copenhagen Airport, with the ferry terminal in Ystad via the Øresund Bridge all year round. The bus ends at the ferry terminal in Ystad, but your ticket is valid for the whole trip to Rønne.
There are also other transportation companies, that offer bus service to Bornholm, like Route 700 (leaves from Ingerslevsgade, stops at Copenhagen Aiport and drives on the ferry to Ystad and continues to several stops on Bornholm) – or the Kombardo Express from Bornholmslinjen. The Express leaves from Ingerslevsgade, but doesn’t stop at the airport, hence it drives straight to the ferry in Ystad and continues to the parking lot behind Destination Bornholm on Bornholm.
