1. Follow the signs and do not stray off the paths
It is important to protect tracks and paths during wet periods. Do not step on crops and avoid climbing on monuments, burial mounds, etc.
2. Be aware of the access rules for certain areas
For example, you are not allowed to enter private forests (including Paradisbakkerne (the Paradise Hills) from sunset until 6.00 the next morning, nor is it allowed to walk outside the paths in private forests.
3. Watch where you step
Do not step on crops and do not use monuments, mounds, or dykes as steps.
4. Do not feed the animals
It can disrupt biodiversity and end up harming nature.
5. Close gates behind you
Remember to close gates to fenced areas after you. Many areas have animals grazing, and it can put them in unnecessary danger if they get outside the enclosure.
6. Enjoy the animals from a distance
Do not disturb sheep or other animals you come across on your hike – neither the wild ones nor pastured animals. Instead, enjoy the sight of them from a safe distance.
7. Use the official camp fires
Build a fire on the official camp fire spots, but use only dead branches and twigs and remember to extinguish the fire completely.
8. Accommodation in the open air
If you sleep in a shelter, look after it as if it were your own. Leave it in the same condition in which you would like to find it.
9. Where possible, use toilets when needed
If this is not possible, then please bury your own waste. And never leave toilet paper behind.
10. Always take your rubbish with you
We are all responsible for nature, and we must take good care of it.
