With ferry to Bornholm

Take the ferry and get to Bornholm easily. Bornholm is linked to the mainland of Sweden and Denmark by a network of ferry services.

To Bornholm from Copenhagen via Ystad in Sweden

Drive across the Øresund Bridge to Ystad and board one of the high speed ferries of Bornholmslinjen. Just 1 hour and 20 minutes later you will be exploring Bornholm. The crossing on the conventional ferries (ropax ferries) takes 2½ hours. During low season there are 3-6 departures a day and during the peak season there are up to 10 daily departures with Bornholmslinjen. It only takes an hour to drive from Copenhagen to Ystad.

To Bornholm from Køge

If you prefer to travel to Bornholm at night, there is another alternative. Just turn up in Køge, south of Copenhagen, and take the new-built and comfortable night ferry of Bornholmslinjen to Bornholm. Departure from Køge every night at 00.30. Arrival in Rønne next morning at 6.00 a.m.

Total travelling time: 5 1/2 hours

To Bornholm from Sassnitz in Germany

You can also choose to take the new-built and comfortable car ferry of Bornholmslinjen from the German island of Rügen. The ferry service between Rønne and Sassnitz is all year round.

To Bornholm from Świnoujście in Poland

During summer time there is an alternative ferry connection between Poland and Bornholm. TT-Line and Polferries have ferries that run every Saturday from Świnoujście to Rønne and back from medio June to primo September.

Total travelling time: 5½ hour (6 ½ hour at night)

To Bornholm from Kolobrzeg in Poland

Or you can choose the summer route, which offers daily sails between Nexø and Kolobrzeg in Poland with a passenger catamaran.

Total travelling time: 4 1/2 hour.

To Christiansø

Christiansøfarten runs the daily passenger service to the island of Christiansø from Gudhjem.

Total travelling time: About 1 hour
