Experience the great chefs competition "Sol over Gudhjem" (Sun above Gudhjem) every summer on the last Saturday in June, when top international chefs compete at Gudhjem Harbour on Bornholm to make tasty gourmet dishes using Bornholm products.

The chefs competition Sol over Gudhjem began in 2009 at Gudhjem Harbour on Bornholm with participation from some of Denmark’s best chefs.

A star studded panel of judges consisting of chefs from some of the country’s top restaurants will provide the tasting and judging, all with the aim of bringing more focus on local produce.

The Sol over Gudhjem cookery competition has become an annual summer event on Bornholm, held in June.

The competition has helped create contact between manufacturers and large restaurants in Denmark, and today many Bornholm manufacturers are permanent suppliers to a wide number of highly acclaimed restaurants in Denmark.

The competition also gives foodies a unique change to see how top international chefs use Bornholm produce to create the perfect dish.
