Drive across the Øresund Bridge to Ystad and board one of the high speed ferries of Bornholmslinjen. Just 1 hour and 20 minutes later you will be exploring Bornholm. The crossing on the conventional ferries (ropax ferries) takes 2½ hours. During low season there are 3-6 departures a day and during the peak season there are up to 10 daily departures with Bornholmslinjen. It only takes an hour to drive from Copenhagen to Ystad.

Effective Wednesday, 25 January, the check-in for cars and other vehicles in Ystad will be at a new location.
Instead of driving off Södra Dragongatan and turning right onto Ekenäsgatan, you must continue further down Södra Dragongatan and turn right at Bornholmsgatan.
The new route is marked in blue on the map below, whereas the old route is marked in red.
Check-in for pedestrians is in the terminal as usual.
If you prefer to travel to Bornholm at night, there is another alternative. Just turn up in Køge, south of Copenhagen, and take the new-built and comfortable night ferry of Bornholmslinjen to Bornholm. Departure from Køge every night at 00.30. Arrival in Rønne next morning at 6.00 a.m.

You can also choose to take the new-built and comfortable car ferry of Bornholmslinjen from the German island of Rügen. The ferry service between Rønne and Sassnitz (Neu-Mukran) is all year round.

Christiansøfarten runs the daily passenger service to the island of Christiansø from Gudhjem.
