The route takes the peloton through towns such as Nexø, Svaneke, Gudhjem, Klemensker, Nyker, Sandvig and Hasle before the final sprint on Nordre Kystvej in Rønne. All along the route, you can experience the intense atmosphere and watch the riders battle their way through hills and turns — a perfect opportunity to see Bornholm in a whole new way.
PostNord Danmark Rundt is not just a sporting event but also an experience for the whole family and a day when Bornholm shows itself at its best. Whether you’re standing on the square in Nexø, watching the finish in Rønne, or finding a spot by Helligpeder or Gudhjem, you’ll be up close to the riders and feel the excitement as the peloton passes by.
The finish in Rønne is guaranteed to be a highlight you won’t want to miss.
Start and presentation in Nexø: Team and rider presentation from 10:45 on Skippertorvet. The race starts at 13:05.
Short closures along the route: Most roads will only be closed for about 10–15 minutes while the peloton passes. See the full list here → Street names and timetable.
Longer closures on the Hasle circuit: The route crosses itself three times in the Rutsker–Helligpeder–Hasle area. Roads here will be closed for about 60–90 minutes from around 15:30.
Finish in Rønne: Nordre Kystvej will be closed from Remisevej to Haslevej between 6:00 and 22:00. Activity on the final stretch is expected from around 16:45.
Nexø: Temporary guest parking at the BOFA recycling site by the harbour.
Rønne: Long-term parking will be moved to Nørrekås. The area around Remisevej/Bådehavnsvej will temporarily be changed to 2-hour parking, which will be lifted just before the race. The Snellemark Center car park can be reached via Munch Petersens Vej.
Arrivals: Traffic from the ferries will be directed to the right onto Munch Petersens Vej on arrival.
Departures: Access to the ferry is via Snellemark or Munch Petersens Vej, as Nordre Kystvej remains closed until 22:00.
Temporary no-stopping and no-parking zones will be in place along much of the route. Signs will be put up in the days leading up to the race.
Farm machinery and large vehicles are advised to avoid the route until the peloton has passed.
Bornholm Police encourages everyone to plan their journeys and enjoy the race as a festive event. The peloton usually passes by in about 15 minutes.
