The Kings' Bastion is one of the larger bastions on Christiansø - and the canons are still used for saluting
At the Southern tip of Christiansø you’ll find the “King’s Bastion” – one of the larger bastions, that were used for the defense of the Sea fortress Christiansø. Today there are six canons, several of them are still in use, i.e. for saluting a ship or at the celebration of St. Hans / Midsummer.
Discover the King’s Bastion by yourself or join a guided tour, which are offered on the islands all summer.
