The exhibition’s authors are presented with a text display. Between them, ceramics are displayed, among other completely new works by Simon Koefoed, fine art, watercolors, light art, photography and painting. Ukrainian Sia Lebedy is the exhibition’s Work in Progress artist. During the exhibition period, she will create a new work with oil on canvas, a process that visitors to the exhibition will be able to follow day by day, from the start of the exhibition until the work is finished or the exhibition ends. “Salt, horizon & meters in the second” also offers works that you can help shape yourself, if you want, and a quiz for children and young people.

Saturday 21 September at 12-17 pm, children and young people (ages 8-18) are invited to the writing and drawing workshop: CREATE YOUR OWN BOOK

It is free to participate incl. materials. Registration can be done by SMS to +45 61102403. Write “book workshop”, your name, age and city you live in. The workshop will be in Danish.

Children’s book author Kirsten Sonne Harild and artist Ben Woodhams will inspire and guide all participants to tell stories and draw and illustrate in their own book, based on the exhibition “Salt, horizon & meter in seconds”. The workshop concludes with a public presentation.

“SALT, HORIZON & METER IN THE SECOND” is based on the 10 years Jo Dam Kærgaard has been on Bornholm and in the projects and collaborations she has had here on the island as an artist, initiator, curator and as an active exhibition space in Gudhjem Banken.
