Bornholm is in a distinguished company with Turkey, Ojai in California, Hilton Head in South Carolina, Sitges in Spain and Hobart in Tasmania when it comes to the best places to travel to in June.
According to the popular American travel magazine ‘Condé Nast Traveler’, the sunshine island is especially worth traveling to in June. Condé Nast Traveler describes Bornholm as a postcard-pretty getaway, with winding streets, harboring rough-hewn fishing boats and farmland that benefits from a climate that’s balmier than the mainland.
Condé Nast Traveler also mentions the new Nordic kitchen, that Borholm is also known for, like Kadeau, which opens the pop-up restaurant in Vester Sømarken on Bornholm every summer. Also the chef competition Sol over Gudhjem (Sun over God’s Home) is mentioned in the article as they celebrate the 10th anniversary of the popular competition this year.
