Join Denmark’s cosiest knitting festival

Enjoy three days filled with yarn, creativity and a friendly atmosphere when the knitting festival Strik Bornholm takes place in Allinge.

Find inspiration in the exhibit hall (Bornholms Idræts- & Kulturcenter)
In the exhibit hall (Messehallen), you can meet exhibitors from all over Denmark who are ready to share their knowledge and creativity. At their stands you can discover new materials for your next creative project. The Exhibition Hall is a meeting place for everyone who loves knitting and crochet. After visiting the stands, you can sit down at one of the tables and enjoy the cosy atmosphere. The Exhibition Hall will also host prize draws, a fashion show and competitions. Tickets can be bought online (tickets to all days only) or at the entrance (1-day tickets and tickets for all days).

Learn something new at a workshop
At Strik Bornholm, you can join workshops with some of Denmark’s best knitting teachers. The workshops take place in Domen. The teacher will wear a body camera, so you can easily follow every stitch on a large screen. After each workshop, there will be a free 30-minute “Meet & Greet”. Here, you can meet the teacher and take a closer look at their designs. Would you prefer a smaller and more focused workshop? Join one of our MINI Workshops, where the groups are smaller, with a maximum of 20 participants. All MINI Workshops take place at Bornholm Sports and Culture Centre. Please notice that all workshops are in Danish. You can read more about the workshops here (site is only available in danish).

Activities and tours
During Strik Bornholm, you can join the knitting cruise “Strik N’ Cruise”, where the ship M/S Ertholm is transformed into a cosy knitting space. Every morning, you can also join morning yoga by the sea. You can also take part in a guided afternoon tour focusing on nature therapy or explore the special dinner offers available during Strik Bornholm.
