THE MIRROR OF THE OCEAN

All life is related is a quote from David Attenborough’s book “Life on Earth” (1979), a summary of all life on earth. Visual artist Malene Kyed works from this quote: “It explains our connection with all living things in 4 billion years of evolution and puts us in kinship with the species of the sea. This is also the key to understanding the wonder of life”. At the exhibition, Malene Kyed shows “mirror works” with etched motifs of the diverse life that once lived in the sea, which remind us of the importance and value of the existence of all species.

Visual artist Jo Dam Kærgaard takes as a starting point “that which grows and is and becomes”. Jo Dam Kærgaard facilitates the exhibition at Gudhjem Banken.
