Louisenlund Forest

Visit a royal forest between Østermarie and Svaneke, that has more than 50 menhirs

Close to the road junction Østermarie towards Svaneke and Ibsker/Nexø towards Bølshavn, you’ll find Louisenlund Forest. A little forest with over 50 menhirs. King Frederik VII. bought the forest in 1851 and named it after Duchess Louise Danner. Today the is owned and maintained by the Jægerspris foundation.
